Kuraray GENESTAR™ PA9T: Perfect sliding and friction properties for transmissions
Hamburg, 17 August 2017 – Wherever high performance is needed for gearbox applications, Kuraray has the right polyamide in its GENESTAR™ PA9T range. Nordmann, Rassmann GmbH distributes these products in Germany and is pleased to assist customers in making the best selection.
Above all, Kuraray's PA9T series is impressive in terms of its sliding and friction properties for gear wheels. The products are available in glass fiber reinforced (e.g. G1352A, which contains 35% glass fiber) or unreinforced varieties (N1001A and N1002A). Both versions feature high abrasion resistance and are also characterized by low water absorption, superior strength at even high temperatures, and very good chemical resistance.

The globally-operative automotive supplier Küster Automotive GmbH develops, produces and distributes electromechanical components that make driving more secure, enjoyable, and environmentally friendly.
As a systems supplier, Küster has over 40 years of experience and know-how in the field of mechatronics and also specifically with actuators. A large proportion of the company's mechanical components are produced from plastics. In the electric vehicle field, for instance, Küster supplies G1352A in the form of a rack for the charging plug locking actuator.
The company places the highest demands on its own products and the materials used. By utilizing PA9T for its specific characteristics - superior strength and low water absorption, in particular - requirements with regard to temperature (-40 to 135°C), vibration and environment can be fulfilled.
Making the right material selection is an important stepping stone towards success. Kuraray's GENESTAR™ PA9T range has the products that meet today's requirements, which is why they are being used for development by Küster Automotive.
